Summary Facilities Planning and Management at Iowa State University is seeking to hire a Mechanical or Civil Engineer. The position responsibilities include providing engineering services for utility distribution facilities with a focus on underground steam tunnels, steam and condensate distribution and chilled water distribution systems. Work may occasionally also involve power plant systems such as pumps, heat exchangers, and chillers. Duties will include analyzing and troubleshooting utility systems and equipment; planning and managing utility projects; and coordinating contractors and design consultants with the ultimate goal of continuing to provide the University with highly reliable and efficient utility service.
